How it all began
A converted cowshed in Frutigen. Inside, an old mulled wine pot for mixing and filling. In 1992, Andreas Schmid developed the first marmot herbal balm here.
Over 30 years later, his sons Silvan and Reto are leading puralpina in the second generation. The one-man business of yesteryear has become a company with over 50 employees. Space became tight in the premises in Vorderhasli.
After numerous meetings and intensive planning, the excavators arrived about a year ago.
Since then, a lot has changed on the site. Demolition, excavation, and concrete work have taken place. What previously only existed on plans steadily took shape.
The move
Then, in August 2026, the time had finally come: after months of construction noise, dust, and visible progress, we were able to move into our extension.
Since then, the new premises have been filling with life and creating the space we had increasingly lacked in recent years.
A big milestone for puralpina and one we would like to share with you.

On foot or by bike
From Frutigen train station, you can reach us on foot in just under 30 minutes. By bike, it takes about 10 minutes.
By public transport
From Frutigen train station, a bus departs hourly, taking you almost directly to our doorstep. Take bus B230 towards Kandersteg and get off at the Achere stop.
By car
If possible, leave your car at home. Only a limited number of parking spaces are available on site. The parking spaces are signposted.
