Scents reach the brain through the nose and stimulate our nervous system. Hormones are released and our feelings are influenced. Even memories can be reactivated by scents. So much for the theory. But who hasn't had it at some point? That cozy feeling when it smells like grandma's cake? Or the perfume of your first love? The smell of cinnamon that reminds you of Christmas? Or the disgust after a long night of partying when it smells like stale beer? You see, scents don't just evoke emotions in theory.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are highly volatile, fat-soluble, multi-component chemical mixtures and contain an enormous number of chemical compounds.
They are produced by the plant in oil glands. Depending on the plant species, these glands are found in the leaves, flowers, seeds, fruit skins, roots, but also in resins, bark, or wood.
Essential oils are a plant's scent and communication substances. A rose, for example, emits its scent to attract insects. The germicidal properties of essential oils allow plants to ward off disease. Furthermore, a plant uses scent to defend its territory and prevent other plants from settling nearby.
Essential oils also protect plants from water evaporation and pests. There are over 300,000 plant species worldwide, but only 2,300 of them produce essential oils.
Large quantities of plant material are usually processed to produce one drop of essential oil. This makes essential oils incredibly valuable.
To produce 1 kg of lemon balm essential oil, 7,000 kg of lemon balm leaves are needed. Lemon balm essential oil is one of the most expensive essential oils on the market. And 1 kg of rose essential oil requires 4,000 kg of rose petals.

Why are there still hazard symbols on the label?
According to European and Swiss legislation, pure essential oils are subject to chemicals legislation. This legislation stipulates the declaration of hazard symbols, hazard warnings, and safety information.
If our fragrance blends were not made from 100% pure essential oils, there would be no hazard symbols on the label.
One could therefore say that the symbols are a quality feature.
Production of our room fragrances and essential oils
For our room fragrances and essential oil fragrance blends, only high-quality and 100% natural essential oils in organic quality are used and processed.
They are manufactured in collaboration with Aromalife – a veteran and true professional in the field of fragrances and essential oils. The room fragrances and our essential oils are bottled and labeled at the Transfair Foundation in Thun. The foundation offers meaningful and protected employment to people with mental health disabilities.
You have the choice
Our fragrances are available in two versions:
As a room spray and as an essential oil
For both versions, we use only 100% natural, pure essential oils—pure nature. The fragrance blends are identical; the only difference is the application method. Whether you choose the room spray or the essential oil depends entirely on your preference.
Do you like things quick and uncomplicated?
Then you choose the room spray. With your room spray, you can distribute your favorite fragrance throughout your room with two to three pumps.
Do you love comfort?
Then choose the essential oil. Add a few drops to your Swiss stone pine cube, a scent stone, aroma lamp or diffuser – and the fragrance will gently fill your space.
Stone pine

Why should I use a room fragrance?
